MYP 4 and 5: Standard Mathematics

eAssessment Practice Papers, Volume 1. Three full papers with examiner-style mark schemes and model solutions.

MYP 1 to 3 resources are planned. Nothing is on sale for those years yet.

What you get in Volume 1

Everything a student needs to sit a paper, mark it honestly and learn from it.

1

Three original practice papers

Every question is newly written, with fresh contexts and data, in the style of the MYP eAssessment. Students cannot have seen the answers before, so the practice is real.

2

Examiner-style mark schemes

Marks are shown the way examiners award them, with method and accuracy marks for each step, so students can see exactly where marks are gained and lost.

3

Step-by-step model solutions

A full worked solution for every question, written so a student can follow it alone, without a teacher beside them.

4

All four criteria, equally weighted

Each paper covers Criterion A, B, C and D with 25 marks each, so no criterion is left unpractised, including investigation and real-life tasks.

See a real extract from the mark scheme

Every sub-question shows the mark codes, the marking notes, an understanding note and the common errors that cost marks.

How to use the papers

A simple routine that works for students studying on their own and for parents supporting them.

1

Sit the paper

Work through one full paper in a single timed sitting, the way you would in the exam.

2

Mark it with the mark scheme

Check each step against the mark scheme and total your marks for each criterion.

3

Learn from the solutions

Read the model solution for every question you dropped marks on, then focus your revision on your weakest criterion.

Written by a teacher, for the way MYP maths is marked

Informational Compass is run by a practising IB MYP mathematics teacher with 7+ years of teaching and tutoring across IB MYP, IGCSE and UK entrance exams, and an IB Category 2 subject-specific workshop certificate.

The papers exist for one reason: students run out of good exam-style practice long before the exam. Textbooks teach the content, and past papers get reused until students remember the answers.

Read the story behind Informational Compass

  • Free guides on the blog, including how to reach the top levels in Criterion B.
